  • I don’t offer direct billing to private health insurance. However, after your session, I’m happy to provide you with a receipt that you can use to make a claim with your provider, if your policy allows.

  • No referral is needed.

  • This can vary from person to person, depending on your specific issues, how long you’ve been experiencing them, and what your goals are. Some people feel much better after just one or two sessions, but quick fixes are rarely sustainable.

Most people need around 3-6 sessions for acute symptom relief. For rehabilitation or ongoing issues, I often work within a 6-week plan, usually attending once a week. Some conditions do require longer processes.

After your initial assessment, we’ll talk through a personalised treatment plan that feels manageable, realistic, and right for you.

  • Your first session includes both an initial assessment and a treatment.

I take time to listen to your story, understand your history, and assess the issue you’re seeking support for. From there, I’ll offer a clear explanation (diagnosis if appropriate), and we’ll talk though a treatment plan that feels right for you.

To help with assessment and hands-on treatment, it can be helpful to expose the area of the body that’s affected, but only if you feel comfortable. Some people find it useful to bring a pair of shorts or wear clothing that makes this easier. If you have any concerns about undressing, please let me know.

After booking, you’ll receive an email with a consent form to fill in before your appointment, along with important details like parking information and how to find the clinic.

  • Women’s health physiotherapy is a specialised area of physio focused on female pelvic health.

These sessions often involve a more in-depth conversation about your health history, and may include a pelvic floor assessment, which can involve an internal vaginal and/or anal examination, but only if it’s clinically relevant and you feel fully comfortable giving consent.

Because of the time taken to discuss your history and understand your symptoms, an internal examination may not always take place during the first session. Instead, we’ll use that time to build a clear picture of your needs and discuss what to expect moving forward.

Your consent, privacy and comfort are the top priorities. There is never any pressure to undergo any part of the assessment unless you feel comfortable.

  • Yes, you absolutely can.

Your period won’t stop us from doing a thorough assessment or treatment. If you’re comfortable, we can proceed as planned. If you prefer to reschedule or modify the session, that’s completely okay too.
